Want to see what's your faster browser? Just benchmark it on this test here. I've got some interesting results and when the test is over (in 5 min) you'll see your results and overall results over the most popular browsers. By comparison, Internet Explorer 8 is snail compared to Google Chrome, or infact any current browser, it is however a mile ahead of IE7 though. I think the overall results does depend on your systems specs but the fastest benchmark done was using the newest Google chrome beta.

This is made by the trusted futuremark who makes benchmarking tools such as 3dmark (latest one is vantage) to put your computer at its limits and give it a score to compare to others, this one is just for browsers.

For IE8, I got about 1,200; for Chrome I got 4,616. The fastest system got 7,858.

I'd like to try this out... but Safari's the only web browser I have, and I really don't want to download another one.
